CrashReportHQ (“we,” “us”) operates a free crash-report retrieval service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you submit a request, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, the city and approximate date of your crash, and answers to questions about the crash (such as whether injuries were reported). If you arrived from an ad, we may also collect standard advertising click identifiers. If you call us, we collect the information you share by phone.
We use your information to locate and deliver your crash report, to communicate with you about your request (by phone, text, or email, as you choose), and to connect you – only if you ask – with a sponsoring attorney for a free consultation. Our service is sponsored by participating injury attorneys; that sponsorship is why the service is free to you.
We share your request information with the sponsoring attorneys who fund this service in your state, and with the service providers we use to operate (form processing, spreadsheets, and messaging tools). We do not sell your information to data brokers, and we never use information found inside retrieved crash reports (such as other drivers or witnesses) for marketing of any kind.
If you ask us to text you, we will – about locating your report. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or tell us on any call that you no longer wish to be contacted; we honor opt-outs promptly. Consent to be contacted is never a condition of receiving your report.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because participating attorneys sponsor this service, sharing your request with them may qualify as “sharing” or “selling” under California law; you may opt out at any time by contacting us. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below and we will verify and respond within the timelines the law requires.
We keep request records only as long as needed for the purposes above and applicable legal requirements, and we use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect them.
Questions or requests: contact us through this site or by phone at the number shown for your state.
